Shutters & Apertures

Along the way a new sense of being was found.  That being is lived through the lens of a camera.  The camera’s eye is an extension of a vision that before 2009 was never seen.  Life changing sequences brought on new hope.  Growing older has only made the once narrow minded vision of the world open up like a flower.  The small things in life have now become some of the most important elements that make our world operate with such precision.

We created Shutters & Apertures in 2009.  Our annual family vacation to St. George Island, Florida would be one of the best things that has happened to us in our art careers.  It’s hard to explain a vision sometimes and this time is no different.  In this fast paced society, we tend to forget the small things that are critical to everything else.  To us, everything works together hand in hand.  We enjoy focusing on the smaller things in the world and strive to capture them in our Shutter & Apertures series.

Kelley…I enjoyed your web page…But my interest was drawn to the photos of the rusty bolt, wooden walk to beach with dunes in background…What you wrote about “the little things in life” is so true…God’s beauty is more than the overall picture we see, it’s the minute details…Thanks…Alice
