Yoga Club at Fernbank Elementary – Atlanta, Ga.

Spending time with the kids in Yoga Club at Fernbank Elementary School, in Atlanta made my heart smile.  The lesson of the day?  Groundhog’s Day…embracing the light and the dark.  When we embrace our shadow we see our light.  The deeper we go into the dark, the lighter we become.  Teachers and Grounded founders and owners, Cheryl Crawford and Amy Haysman taught forward folds and back bends and then the kids came up with a forward fold pose and back bend pose.  The children found their inner shadow, embraced it and opened their hearts radiating the entire room.

Hearts wide opened.

Cheryl and Amy plugged deep into their hearts and radiating it out in full force.

This one makes me smile because this is Fernbank Elementary Schools physical education teacher.  She is very involved in the Grounded program and teaches yoga outside of the school as well.  ”Namaste, Namaste, Yay!” to this beautiful teacher.

Partner poses are always fun for the children to practice.  These girls are shining outward!
